Pulte & Del Webb

all typar products- WHITE paper membrane tape and window flex 6” flashing tape

membrane on block 5 on wood 1  on the block - no nails/staples in the membrane- if there is a detached garage thats all wood walls  need membrane on the wood to slab transition ( the bottom)-

start all paper 4-6 feet away from the corner- this includes porches on the duplexs

no nails near the windows/door  openings 4" on sides - 12" on top or bottom - no nails near corners either- at leas 18: away from the corner

DO NOT skip slit anywhere- they consider this a hole in the paper

all corners need membrane on top of the housewrap= you can use  6" membrane- this applies to both horizontal and vertical corners .

flex all windows.also when you make the flip at the top of the window DO NOT tack it up.either just let it hang or tuck it under the paper. NO NAILS.

gables must be covered with paper down to the very bottom/ends - and the paper must be nailed off onto the wood- dont leave it flapping- or tape is ok also

horizontal paper overlaps must be 6" at least - vertical overlaps must be 12"

nails must be 32" OC

any and all tears, rip, holes and housewrap defects must be covered with seam tape

no nails under any membrane on the corners ( reverts back to no nail near corners anyways)

any horizontal surface must have paper on it-dont use 1 pc to cover the front and then pulll under- cantilver/bump out- dont tape the edge of the side to the bottom leave it exposed  - just leave it with the paper as is- make sure its skip slit

the roofers are putting peel and stick at the wood to block (or wood) transitions.

wood to wood transition- cover all the peel with housewrap as usual and then 5" up from the bottom of the P&S cut the housewrap across   then pull the peel and stick through the opening of the paper - tape both sides and the bottom  with seam tape- DO NOT TAPE THE TOP OR BOTTOM- TAPE THE SIDES ONLY

wood to block transitions- cover the peal and stick and cut the paper under the eave so that all the peel and stick is covered-(including the part under the roof eave)- if cut correctly around the wood there should not be a need for tape. this is not the same as the wood to block transition.

you may see dryer vents in some houses already installed before we wrap the house.they need 6" membrane around them- trim the paper so some wood shows ( 1-2")so when u put the membrane on it its on both the paper and are bare wood-

no  housewrap paper overlaps over windows.

metal straps need to have membrane over them- then paper over that as usual.

DO NOT MEMBRANE on the paper anymore

arches-- the membrane on the arch which you flip up to the vertical face ( front and back) now needs to be covered with paper- in the past we did paper then membrane-

bottom of gables arches- no nails at the bottom nails should be no closer than 9"

Any rips tears longer than 6" must be patched with paper= under 6" ok for seam tape

TAMPA ONLY= If the dry in by roofers has not been done do NOT wrap the house=- Notify me or Brad asap

IF YOU CAN SEE WOOD ANYWHERE WHEN YOUR DONE, ITS NOT DONE RIGHT                                     3/24/17

Also on the arches we have to tape the cuts on the membrane on the front and back of the arch- this you have been doing most places but just to point it out.(there is a picture below to  see what this looks like
